Access::
  • Air: there is an air taxi service from Lima to Ica. There are also some flights over the Nazca lines
  • Overland: Bus: 4 hours – ride by the Pan-American Highway.

Ica is a oasis in the middle of the desert plains in the south of Perú. In its vineyards are made the best selection of wines and Pisco. Their quality is well known around the world.

In the desert plains are the remains of three ancients cultures: Paracas, Nazca and Wari. Few rains fall over this region, only during El Niño phenomenon.

PARACAS: NATURAL RESERVE:

The natural reserve of Paracas is the only protected area of the Peruvian coastline. This wild santuary a few minutes from Pisco. Housing endangered species such as sea wolves the humbolt penguins, the guano island birds and the flamingo.

Despite its animal wealth, Paracas also has other wonders.

NAZCA LINES

The Nazca lines are one of the most mysterious places in the world. The size and complexity of these geoglyphs, suggest some kind of mysterious origin. However, archeologists state that these drawings. Were made by the Pre-Inca cultures of Nazca and Paracas. Who used the 350 km2 plains as a big drawing board. The design can be seen from the lookout (mirador) or from the air, flying on a light plane.
